Bike Service, Sales and Suspension
in Forest Hills, Michigan
A bike shop for Forest Hills riders
Biked is about 5.5 miles from the Forest Hills Public Schools offices on Forest Hill Avenue, about 15 minutes by car down Forest Hill Avenue to 28th Street.
Bring us your bike for a tune-up, a repair or a suspension rebuild, let us pick it up from your home, or come in and find your next bike.
Where is Forest Hills?
Forest Hills isn’t a city or a township. It’s a census-designated place of about 28,600 people that covers most of Ada Township and the north half of Cascade Township, and it’s the name most people use for the area served by Forest Hills Public Schools, which also reaches into Grand Rapids and Cannon Townships.
If you live near Knapp’s Corner, along Forest Hill Avenue or out toward Ada, we cover you. For riding around Ada and Cascade, see our Ada and Cascade pages.
Two easy ways to get your bike serviced
Visit the shop
We’re at 2312 28th St SE, Grand Rapids, on the southeast side. Drop off your bike, talk through a new bike or custom build with us one-on-one, or pick up parts and gear.
Pick up and drop off
We pick up and drop off all over Forest Hills.
- We pick up at your home. You don’t need to be there: leave your bikes in the garage while you’re at work and tell us where to find them.
- Up to three standard bikes ride for one fee, so the whole household can get serviced at once.
- One way works too. Have us pick up your bike and stop by the shop to get it and talk it over in person, or drop it off with us and we’ll bring it home. You only pay for the trip you use.
- Pickup is $20 each way, $40 round trip. Depending on where you are in Forest Hills, an extended-area fee from $15 may apply. Call 616-234-0134 and we’ll check your address.
- A $95 minimum service applies, and oversized bikes have a $15 transport fee.
Find the right bike, not just a bike
Buying a bike at Biked is one-on-one. We ask how and where you ride, help you choose the right model and size, and set it up before it leaves the shop. We keep our floor small on purpose and order most bikes to your size and spec, so you get the bike that fits you instead of the one we need to move.
We’re an authorized dealer and service center for Specialized, Cervélo, BMC and Transition, and we do custom builds with ENVE, Chris King and Industry Nine parts.
Road and gravel
Road bikes for the paths around Ada and Cascade, and gravel bikes for the back roads east of town, from Specialized, Cervélo and BMC.
Mountain
Trail and cross-country bikes for Cannonsburg and Egypt Valley, from Specialized, BMC and Transition, plus custom builds and suspension tuning from our Suspension Lab.
Triathlon and e-bikes
Cervélo triathlon bikes for race season, and Specialized Turbo e-bikes for longer rides, commuting and keeping up with the family.
Where to ride from Forest Hills
Two of the nicest parks close to home are walking only: Pickerel Lake Park and the Fred Meijer Nature Preserve and Provin Trails Park don’t allow bikes.
For mountain biking, Cannonsburg Ski Area opens about 12 miles of trail in summer, and Egypt Valley is close by (more on our Ada page). For paved rides, see our Cascade page and the Grand Rapids riding guide.
Students and young racers
Forest Hills has three high schools: Central, Northern and Eastern. There’s no Forest Hills team in the Michigan Scholastic Cycling Association yet. If your student races or wants to start, we can help with the right bike, a good fit and service before the season.
Coffee and food
The Pantry has a Forest Hills shop at 850 Forest Hill Ave SE, sister to the one in Ada. Near Knapp’s Corner, the Koeze store on the East Beltline has a coffee bar, and Frederik Meijer Gardens is just up the road.

Mountain bike suspension service
Climbs and fast descents at Cannonsburg and Egypt Valley wear on your fork, shock and dropper post long before you feel it. Our Suspension Lab services Fox, RockShox, Marzocchi and Manitou, and we recommend a full fork service after 200 hours of riding.
- Full Fork Service, from $190
- Fork Lowers Rebuild Service, from $110
- Full Shock Service, from $190
- Shock Air Can Service, from $85
- Dropper Post Rebuild, from $80
- Frame Pivot Bearing Replacement, from $105
Fall and winter are a smart time to get your suspension rebuilt, so it’s ready when the trails dry out in spring.
Getting your bike ready for race day
This is a big part of what we do. We get bikes ready for races and big rides all season, including:
- Barry-Roubaix (Hastings, April)
- Dirty 30 Gravel (Saranac, April)
- Lowell Classic (Lowell, spring and fall)
- Michigan Gravel Race Series events
- Grand Rapids Triathlon (Ada, June)
- KeyBank Gran Fondo (downtown Grand Rapids, June)
- PEDALS (Cannonsburg, September)
- The Dirty Mitten (Middleville, September)
- Iceman Cometh Challenge (Traverse City, November)
We also support several West Michigan race teams across mountain, gravel, road and triathlon.
Book as far ahead as you can. Demand gets high in the weeks before a big event, and booking early gives us time to order any parts and sort out any issues with room to spare before race day. Either way, we’ll work with you to get it done.
